There's been all sorts of publications
in many fancy magazines
but this is special.

I took this photograph this morning
for my local grocery shop which
has been baking this cake,
le pastis landais,
every day since
1911.

"Portraits and fashion shots commissioned by magazines
defaced with shells collected on the Bay of Biscay.
There’s an unavoidable sense of a lively pun
at play here between the calcareous artifact of marine life
with the living skull. A playful attempt to undermine pomposity and vanity,
an homage to Marcel Duchamp's mustached Mona Lisa."

Other stones live in the garden.
They seems to come to life when it rains
as it does today.

Today. One shot of 2 stones.

On the bench in front of the kitchen.

They have been there for years.

They live their life,

The life of a stone.

Published in AD Spain, June 2011
    Beautiful lay out as always
The house of Franca Sozzani, editor in chief of Vogue Italy, Marrakech.

None of the magazines in Russia, Spain or France have reproduced this picture showing the only contemporary photograph of the house. I couldn't conceive speaking of Franca Sozzani without at least mentioning she is one of the most influential image maker in the world of fashion. What Franca chooses to hang on her walls cannot pass unnoticed.
